there are many more and bigger things

Right now, the uncertainty of the future is reassuring.  It reminds me that I don't know everything, as I shouldn't; there are many more and bigger things than me.  And it reminds me that anything could be coming.  That if I look back on my life two years or two months ago, I'll find someone completely unrelated to me today.  And the consistency of that action -- the reflection and the unrecognizability -- reminds me that it will keep happening.  That one day I will look back on this evening as a single day of my youth, this period as a defining one, and this life as something that has been thoroughly lived.
